I never tried btcid so I can only assume what causes this. I
think this is because btcid uses OpenObex (or the Obex
protocol in general) or the rfcomm layer(?) (serial
emulation of bluez) to get information about who's calling
you as well as tsemgr does to provide the menu on your
phone. And the phone can only handle one connection per time.

But you're not out of luck to get it both working. Just stay
tuned for the next version of tsemgr (complete rewrite), I
hope it'll provide you the same functionality like btcid as
well as all the other stuff it does right now.
