Hi Stella,

You need to configure the PS in the jTSS .ini files.
You also need to unlock the commands with PCR access (quote, pcr_read 
and pcr_extend) in the Vista system policy.
Please refer to the jTSS documentation for details.

Also try to set you SRK password to TSS_WELL_KNOWN_SECRET (=20 bytes of 
0). Windows should do so upon taking ownership.

In addition we are aware of a problem with Atmel TPM 1.2 on some Lenovo 
machines regarding PCR accesses. Actually, we are waiting for delivery 
of a notebook with such a configuration that will allow us to analyse 
this issue..

hi, I use atmel TPM 1.2, enabled, activated, and take ownship with vista. SRK pwd is null.
 
when I tried the demo with command prompt as Admin, but both sys and user's PS won't work (3 ERRORS), and I got 9 other failures, seems createkeywithpcr and many other functions can't work either: 
 
I also tried to clearownership and use the testsuit, still got this problem. Could you help me out here? The log is below.

Hi Christoph,

I am sorry for the late answer - and I still did not have the time to 
look into this. :-(

As a quick work-around try to instantiate your SRK key object this way.
srk_ = context_.createRsaKeyObject(TcTssConstants.TSS_KEY_TSP_SRK);

Also make sure that the SRK is actually stored in the persistent storage 
of the TrouSerS you use. This is typically performed upon taking ownership.

Which software package are you using?
I guess jTSS Wrapper. The newest release? 0.3.1?

Which version of TrouSerS? Only v0.2.9.0 or v0.2.9.1 and are supported 
for now and you might need to apply the TPM 1.2 patch.

Looks like a bug to me... I have not jTSS source at hands at the moment.
But I guess Ronald will probably hunt that one down once he is back in office.

When I'm calling getRegisteredKeysByUuid, I get the first one as a 
result, so this key does exists, the other one not. But the IDs are 
looking like there is a problem with the byte order... So is this a bug 
or a feature?

The new TPM tools 0.3b require the newest jTSS 0.3, where 
TcTssContextFactory is introduced.
Make sure that the most recent iaik_jtss_tsp.jar is in the 
<jtpmtools>/ext_libs directory.

_jTSS_ is an _alternative_ to TrouSerS. It therefore cannot support 
TrouSerS at all, and they must not run at the same time!

However, _jTSS Wrapper_ also requires the Java API definitions provided 
in the iaik_jtss_tsp.jar file of jTSS. It then implements the 
functionality using TrouSerS. It only supports TrouSerS up  to 0.2.9.1. 
You might also have to add our TPM1.2 patch to TrouSerS.

Here you set a non-default SRK secret.

And here, you do not specify it. Use the -s parameter.
Note that the jTPMTools will use the SRK as the default parent key for 
the generated keys.

More generally: This error message indicates that some 
credential/password is wrong. Double check spelling of the owner, SRK or 
application password or all of them. Also consider the encodings and 
whether the trailing zero is included or not. Repeat.
