Hello people! I hope this is the proper place to address an issue I am having with my TPM= =20 and/or related tools: I can not claim ownership of it. Trying results in this output: src/tpm/tpm-tools > tpm_takeownership -l debug Enter owner password: Confirm password: Enter SRK password: Confirm password: Tspi_Context_Create success Tspi_Context_Connect success Tspi_Context_GetTpmObject success Tspi_GetPolicyObject success Tspi_Policy_SetSecret success Tspi_Context_CreateObject success Tspi_GetPolicyObject success Tspi_Policy_SetSecret success Tspi_TPM_TakeOwnership failed: 0x00000003 - layer=3Dtpm, code=3D0003 (3), B= ad=20 parameter Tspi_Context_CloseObject success Tspi_Context_FreeMemory success Tspi_Context_Close success I am running a linux 2.6.12 kernel patched with the tpmdd code from today o= n a=20 IBM thinkpad T43p (tpm_nsc module) and am using the tpm-tools pulled from=20 CVS. The TPM was cleared using the BIOS before trying this. Most tpm_* commands fail from here returning code=3D0012, No SRK, but=20 tpm_selftest claims to be a success. I used a really simple password in bot= h=20 cases, so there shouldn't have been a problem parsing that. Any ideas what I could check? =2D-=20 Gruss, Tobias =2D----------------------------------------------------------- Tobias Hunger The box said: 'Windows 95 or better' to...@aq...
