#7 Init script...

Is it possible to obtain a copy of the init script -
the script that runs after the kernel.

I would like to edit the script for my own needs. I've
had a poke around, and it looks like, irionicly enough,
its actually an executable within initrd.gz ? If so, is
the source publicly avalible ?
