Hello Helmut: Thank you very much for your soon answer >> I added in /tux/config/modules following lines: >> 8390.o >> ne.o io=0x240 >Which IRQ does the card use? Maybe you have to set it to "ISA" or >"legacy" in the CMOS setup. The card is in IRQ=10 If I do: # insmod ne io=0x240 it shows up in lsmod and in /proc/interrupts /proc/ioports >What tells > ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.21 up > > ifconfig If I do this by hand it shows OK and works, but how or where should I put this information for it to come up automatically at boot.- I am using the last Version of Trinux 0.890.- Awaiting and Best Regards Carlos |

It *should* be possible to put this in the /tux/config/modules file module.o paramaters If you grep through the linuxrc file (for modules or insmod), you should be able to verify it. unfortunately I don't have one handy. - mdf > If I do this by hand it shows OK and works, but how or where should I put > this information for it to come up automatically at boot.- > > I am using the last Version of Trinux 0.890.- > > Awaiting and Best Regards > Carlos > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials. > Become an expert in LINUX or just sharpen your skills. Yes. You should be able to add a script to \tux\init.d.\pre-net on the boot floppy to do everything manually. Again look through the linuxrc for details. - mdf > Sorry, I'm not very good debugging scripts > I suppose there must be something in linuxrc as you point out.- > > Is there some other place in config that I could put: > insmod xxxx > ifconfig xxxx up > > Awaiting and best regards > Carlos Aguero > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Matthew Franz" <mf...@ci...> > To: "Carlos Alejandro Aguero" <ca...@cd...> > Cc: <tri...@li...> > Sent: Monday, January 05, 2004 8:50 PM > Subject: Re: Fw: [Trinux-talk] Cannot Configure Nic NE2000 > > > It *should* be possible to put this in the /tux/config/modules file > > module.o paramaters > > If you grep through the linuxrc file (for modules or insmod), you should be > able to verify it. > > unfortunately I don't have one handy. > > - mdf > > > > If I do this by hand it shows OK and works, but how or where should I put > > this information for it to come up automatically at boot.- > > > > I am using the last Version of Trinux 0.890.- > > > > Awaiting and Best Regards > > Carlos > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > > This SF.net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials. > > Become an expert in LINUX or just sharpen your skills. Hallo, Carlos, Du meintest am 05.01.04 zum Thema Fw: [Trinux-talk] Cannot Configure Nic NE2000: >> What tells >> ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.21 up >> >> ifconfig > If I do this by hand it shows OK and works, but how or where should > I put this information for it to come up automatically at boot.- You need the "dhcpd" packet too. Or you put fixed addresses into the "tux" directory. Viele Gruesse! Helmut |
