Hi,
=20
I am new to the whole linux thing =96 except that I currently run Coyote =
Linux
on a boot floppy disk. As part of the setup, you select the network =
cards,
IP addresses etc and it currently boots perfectly etc.
=20
However I noticed Trinux and thought wow - I can run Snort (the =
Intrusion
Detection program) from floppys rather than having to do a full install =
of
some huge Linux version. I downloaded and created a standard Trinux 1.4
floppy disk and set it to run. It shows me I have the dhcpcd server and
trinux on the disk and that is all. Should this then automatically act =
as a
router (and my main PC connect straight away), because if so, it =
doesn=92t
appear to be working. In short - is there anything I must set to enable =
the
standard build floppy to act as a router. I will worry about Snort =
loading
later.
=20
Thanks for your help.
