Danke bzw. Thanks - I had tried Knoppix (must boot from floppy image 
diskette) and it worked (except X-desktop, it didn't succeed in 
recognizing the "monitor"), so I'll now pay attention on the way it 
recognizes de NIC. I'll keep posting on this.
