After being successful booting (and using) Trinux from Floppy on a 64MB Pentium Pro (200MHZ) PC, I now want to try an older 16 MB Pentium 60, but I am getting errors, despite some trimming of the package list. My /tux/config/pkglist contains: term baselib system netconf bash nmap pthread netutil tcpdump hping2 vi My HTTP server is found, and package loading begins : term, baselib, system, netconf load OK, but starting with bash I get the following error for the rest of packages of the list: tar:/usr/bin/bash: input/output error -- no space left on device tar: bad tar header, skipping .... tar: bad tar header, skipping .... ..... It seems my 16 MB are not enough room... weird. At the end I don't get a working console. Some tips ? What is a minimal recommended install (packages) for such a RAM amount ?
