[Trinux-talk] poweroff /newbie question

Hi Trinux talk,

I have a problem with the poweroff command. When I type "poweroff" I always get the message "poweroff: applet not 
found". What is an applet, what is it needed for, and why is it missing/not found ?

(I want to create a boot floppy which does a backup of some files via perl and then switches off my ATX-Power supply)
