Hi, trinux tends to be a bit confusing in the sense that so far I found only = very few version that recognize the ne2000 ethernet-adapter. All the versions that do find it have some other disadvantage like not = recognizing cds of producing some very strange errors. After I tested all of them I finally ended up with the floppy-version = "trinux-0.80rc2-ide". with this floppy everything works EXECPT networking. The trinux-website on the other hand sais that the ne2000 is by default = recognized by the kernel. And it does not say what to do if it is not recognized. The adapter itself is ok, as some trinuxes, e.g. trinux-0.80rc2-net.img = find it, while others do not. So what is the trick here ? TIA, stn |
