Hi and thanks for replying, The initrd is from the 5Sept.iso. a pre_release version of Trinux. So maybe it was that releases' linuxrc that didn't have the proper checks. I'll definitely try the newer initrd and I will try the loadlin hack if that doesn't pan out. BTW- I found the .config file in the 2419o.tgz but that required a 49Meg download. Is there a more convenient way to get the .config file you used? Subject: Re: [Trinux-talk] some special help needed Date: Thu, 16 Jan 2003 21:56:29 -0600 Where did you get the initrd from? Which version of Trinux? Or which date? Try the linuxrc in the 6 sep 02 initrd.gz in http://devel.trinux.org/initrd/ If you look in the linuxrc (http://devel.trinux.org/initrd/src/linuxrc) you'll see the checks The way I've booted of CF/HD is by creating a DOS/FreeDOS partition and then using loadlin called from autoexec.bat - mdf > > > I haven't seen any docs on how to get trinux onto a harddrive or a compact > flash disk.
