I'm using Trivial FTP (man tftp) to bring the packages over and then installing them from the local folder. There is a tftp client built into Busybox and there are tftp servers available for almost every OS. In your case try: http://tftpd32.jounin.net/. It should be straight forward to patch the getpkg/getkpkg script to use tftp as well. -----Original Message----- From: Arne [mailto:akd...@ka...] Sent: November 7, 2002 3:37 PM To: Tri...@li... Subject: [Trinux-talk] sambamount Now I load additional packages from a local webserver, windows or linux. But I want to be able to load them from a local system through Samba from a shared windows-directory. I found out I'll have to use the packages smbmount and smbcore to be able to load addition package trough Samba. Together approx. 700 kB !!! These packages are too big to fit on a boot-floppy. Has anyone an idea to have another way to use samba-mounts for additional packages-loading? A smaller program for Linux? (With BSD it's possible to use a very small program to mount samba-shares, but its author says this program won't work for Linux.) 700kB for a single task: mounting a Windows-system frustrates me. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: See the NEW Palm Tungsten T handheld.
