Hello Trinux Experts, What could be causing my Trinux /bin/sh to exit without warning? Event sequence: 1) Boot Trinux net floppy 2) Mount /dev/hdc1 /mnt/hd1 (reiserfs) 3) Mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/hd2 (reiserfs) 4) cd /mnt/hd1 5) tar --preserve -xzvf wsinstall-tpl.tgz 2> /tmp/tar.err 6) tar output scrolls up the screen... 7) towards the middle to end of the "untar" before tar finishes I get: Please press Enter to activate this console. Sometimes tar will finish but the shell still gets exited. =20 I get know messages at all nothing in tar.err or anything displayed to the screen explaining what caused the shell to exit. /var/log/messages just tells me "/bin/sh - exited." Things I have tried: killed crond find / -name core (no core files found) different boot floppy different tar file different hardware setterm -blank 0, in case the screenblank is flaky??? I am using 0.80rc2 Trinux release: Any guess, ideas or the answer would be greatly appreciated!!!!
