I don't know if Matt has packages built for this, but even if he doesn't, if you have another linux box that you could use, you could plug the bad drive into a second bay, download dd_rescue, and use it. The web page for dd_rescue is http://www.garloff.de/kurt/linux/ddrescue/. If you use plain-old dd, it will quit when it hits the bad sectors and you may miss important info after that point.
