What are the 'master' and 'local' files for?  I've not modified them.
I messed around with moving the FTP site over onto HTTP, and now the
packages load beautifully.  But I wonder.

How is it that with only 128 MB RAM, you can load all of these packages in?
 Do they just occupy RAM?  Is there a limit to the number of packages that
can be loaded into a system..? I wonder how it works.
