Hi. Looking closer to the installation process for FreeS/WAN, it seems that a new kernel is required. As you're short in time, don't bother to do it. I am going home for three weeks and I'll try to access a complete linux box, in order to compile a kernel (probably a 2.5.0) and the binaries. I'll use your config file as a basis, and compile all the modules in the same way. If I manage to do that, I'll burn it onto a cdrom and I'll let you know and share all the stuff once I am back here. I can't reasonably start apache at home because it is a 56k modem connection (I don't know the speed of _this_ connection but it is fast enough...) So I'll post on the list when I'm done, it won't be before mid-january. As I am at it, I will also try to compile a gcc compiler and make, flex, ... or just taking them from SuSE 7.2 and stripe them down to be able to play with all that using Trinux during the next term. But I can't promise anything about that, because I don't exactly know which header files I must include in the packages, and so on. I'll have a look at SuSE's gcc rpm. corg --- Matthew Franz <mf...@ci...> wrote: > >Wow, I think this is actually the first post on trinux-ipsec. :) > >It has been over a year since I messed with Freeswan.
