Could you please consider ;

I have created the pcmcia boot disk . The laptop is 192.168.1.10 and
192.168.1.12 is
a RHat gateway to the Internet . dhcpcd runs on the gateway and masquerading
provides
IP address sharing . This works fine with windows which are configured to
know of a gateway .

MY problem is that can snarf to 192.168.1.12 which happens to host a mail
server and www server
but I can not snarf to the outside world . ie tirnux.sourceforge.net (
216.136.171.201) to get the
packages. Could you please advise as to my options and what is necessary to
get the laptop
monitoring host up and running . I assume there is a option other than
running a dhcp server on
my gateway .
