My guess is that the problem is that RAID hardware (which may/may not be proprietry) is not recognized by the kernel. The server also probably uses SCSI. What type of server/RAID hardware, SCSI hardware? Probably the easiest is to build a custom boot floppy with a custom kernel and then either load the packages you need off the CD or floppy. - mdf |
