Hi! I was wondering what is required to recompile Trinux's kernel? I think I need to know: 1) Are you using any special patches to the standard kernel? 2) Where can I find the config file you used? 3) Can I use modules? I didn't see any in /lib/modules within initrd.gz. Where do they go? 4) Do I need to do anything special for the boot loader? (I'm used to lilo, and haven't used syslinux before.) 5) Any other pitfalls? I've got a utility I want that requires write access to NTFS, hense my initial need to build the kernel. I often find myself hacking the kernel, though, so I'd like to understand how Trinux's kernel is built and installed. Thanks! John |
