I think I may have missed the point.... How do you know the package did not install? Many of them install quietly, and only leave behind the installed executables. Getpkg depends on a network connection, I think. The CDROM image has some problems establishing a net connection (I just do it by hand), and doesn't seem to find it's own packages.. :-( Ok, I had a quick look, the CDROM support appears to need work. You will either need to DIY (do it yourself), or wait for someone else. I will try to look at it again in the coming days... BTW, pkgadd and getpkg are pretty basic scripts, and if you think they are not working, you can add some debugging info and figure out what is going on, then work around it manually.
