<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV>trinux-talk,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I downloaded the ISO image from trinux.org (I believe it was something like 22.9M) and burnt it to a CD-R, however the disc will not boot on any of my systems. My bios settings are correct, setup to boot from CD-ROM before HD, but the disc will still not boot on any of them. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have tried two methods of burning the disc, both in Win2k, as I am not familiar enough with linux yet to get disc burning to work. First, I tried formatting the disc with directCD, then copying the image over to the drive in windows explorer, and then closing the disc. When this didn't work, I tried to burn the disc using Easy CD Creator 5, using the data disc function. Both of these techniques failed to create a bootable image (as i had expected). They DO copy the image over however, it is not bootable. My question, then, is how do I burn a bootable trinux disc in win2k, or rather what tool should I be using?<BR><BR>Any help would be greatly appreciated.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Shane</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><A href="mailto:amg...@ho...">amg...@ho...</A><BR></DIV></div><br clear=all><hr>Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at <a href='http://go.msn.com/bql/hmtag_itl_EN.asp'>http://explorer.msn.com</a><br></html> |
