[Trinux-talk] Can I use trinux as a terminal?

I've searched for this and can't seem to see the answer....

Is there any way of using trinux as a terminal so I can plug into console
ports on equipment using COM1 of my portable? This may be RTFM, if it is,
can someone point me to the FingM as I've searched for this and can't find
it. At the moment I'm switching between Trinux and Windows just to use the
console facility in windows terminal packages 8-(
