Because I didn't feel like doing any *real* work on Trinux (like documentation) I've release several relatively useless packages: sound.tgz - kernel modules and sound /dev's for sound cards and amp ( a *very* simple mp3 player ) modutil.tgz - insmod, modprobe, depmod a 2.2.17 kernel image with modular sound support is available at http://www.io.com/~mdfranz/trinux/kernel/bzImage/ If for some ungodly reason you, too, want sound support on Trinux, I recommend adding the necessary commands to probe the kernel modules (modprobe sound, insmod mpu401, insmod uart401...) to the /tux/init/last on the boot floppy. Its up to you to get it working. IMHO, sound cards under Linux are a big pain. Oh yeah, if anyone has any favor console mp3 players (or napster clients) they can recommend, let me know and I'll consider adding more useless packages. -mdf |
