[Trinux-news] Trinux 0.80pre1 Release

A boot floppy for 0.80pre1 has been released and should be available at
the following locations:

Why did Trinux reach 0.8x?

- Remote package loading via FTP/HTTP (multiple servers are allowed)
- Local package loading from hard disk filesytems (NTFS, FAT, EXT2) as
  well as slow floppies
- Remote management via SSH
- Remote monitoring via syslog, SMTP (including PGP), and CDP
- Virtual workspaces (ability to load/save a "home" directory from/to
  FTP/SSH servers) - Support for NFS client - Perl, Python, PHP 
- A complete set of kernel modules

- Many many new packages (see below) - Improved documentation (most of
these new features are documented *somewhere* on the web site)

All of these packages should work with 0.7x.

Assuming there are no major problems, the only thing holding up a final
release is the completion of documentation.
