Hi,
TR 0.6.6.1 crashes on Win10 with message that PhysX - "not initialised" and error '0'.
Installed from 64-bit EXE, in C:\GNU folder (so, nonstandard) with Admin privileges,
but looged as normal user. On Win 8.1 this configuration works very well.
Is it possible, that configuration folder is wrong?
Very strange....

I had the same issue and was able to solve it. Thank codeness for physfs being so easy to compile (don't know how to make a realease rather than a debug version though)
Hi!
Thanks a lot for the help. I think error was connected with specific Win10 version. After an update the problem did solve itself.
In fact, I should have tagged it [SOLVED]....
Greetings,
Janusz.

Thank you for reporting this issue, Janusz. Unfortunately I can't really help with this since I'm not a programmer but at least I can recognize your feedback and I hope one of the projects programmers can look at it soon. (We did test the game on Windows 10 but so far nobody encountered this issue.)

Yes, please share your maps! Additional maps are certainly welcome.
I normally generate maps with deliberate height variation since for rally cars a wide plain track is normally not very interesting. But if you got the surrounding terrain and the width of the road right it might still be fun to race.
How did you end up with only 43 maps and the old proprietary textures? Did you update the code but not the maps, events and textures? (But on the other hand you already use the new trees ...)
The left image in the map selection detail view is supposed to be a screenshot from the race without the car and any OSD elements.
I'm looking forward to your maps. :)

The image on the left is made solely by me using POVRay with my specialised macros. In fact,
in order to speed up browsing tracks catalogue ("Single race" menu) I've just removed some tracks from maps folder. I use new foliage textures, but which textures do you call "old proprieatary"? I'm just surprised ;) as I'am always struggle to observe copryrights.
Tracks may be perhaps remarkably enhanced - anyway, enjoy! (place into "plugins" folder).
Of course, there is no tunnel in MonteCarlo nor bridge at Suzuka - just jump.

Hello Janusz. Please provide a run log for the crash: in the Trigger Rally bin folder there should exist a batch file named trigger-rally-x64.RUNLOG.cmd, please run it and attach the resulting text file in a reply.

Hi Andrei,
it is rather short:
=================================
Trigger Rally init
Build: 0.6.6.1 on Mar 1 2019 at 19:11:42
Initialising PhysFS
PhysFS failed to initialise
PhysFS: 0 - no error
=================================
Thought that problem is that TR configuration folder does not exist:
i.e. there is no [...]AppData\Roaming\trigger-rally-team folder.
I attempted to make it by hand but it did not solved the problem.

Cool. Your maps are fun. They feel very different from mine. What do you think about combining them to an event?
I only got lost on the Sakhir WRC map. I would optimize the checkpoints, add codriver commands and adapt the menu information to fit to the other maps.
I suspect you didn't optimize the target time yet on the last two maps since they can be easily finished much fatser.

That's true, I've started making tracks for fun and education so times are
not always set as very demanding.
In fact, reducing them down to F1 lap times seems to be impossible with
regular TR cars, even of S500 series.
Indeed Sakhir WRC is a bit tricky, I'll correct that in the future,
unfortunately currently I'm short of time.
Making event is a good idea, but I simply don't know how to assemble it, so
I need some time to study this problem.
More serious problem is that there are 21 races and I've completed (more or
less) 10 tracks only, now I'm working on
Paul Ricard (France GP), which is playable but very... bare.
BR,
thank you for what you and whole team does for reviving this legendary game.

The car texture I can see in your screenshot hasn't been in the game since several versions.

Certainly. Don't do that! But at present I need only half the time with a Kit car without even trying to be epecially fast.
currently I'm short of time.
Don't mind! There is no need to rush things right now.
but I simply don't know how to assemble it.
Events are basically created by adding a new .events file in the events folder. And this just contains the name and the links to the races you want to include in the order you define it. (If you have something to unlock – or if the event itself needs to be unlocked – you can define in there also what you want to unlock or what needs to be won before the event itself is unlocked. In order to keep things tidy we usually place all races for events in a folder with the same name as the event.)
The easiest way to start is probably by copying an existing event and change everything how you need it. A good start could be one of the two events in the plugins folder since they aren't locked and don't unlock anything either.
there are 21 races
Wow, please take the time you need! If you really finish all those maps then we shouldn't put everything into one event.

BTW: I've prepared several tracks inspired by Formula 1 circuits. Interested?
