#153 Taskbar Icons!
In my quest to find the perfect activity notification,
I noticed that Tk now supports full color taskbar
icons! Well, okay the bleeding edge Tk supports it,
8.4.9, but there's a patch... anyway regardless of
whether the obsolete black and white icon interface, or
the new color interface, I made something of an attempt
to support taskbar icons for Trebuchet Tk.
I set it so the icon would flash whenever the title was
changed to "blah - Active" or something. It always
flashes green, because I'm not sure how to determine
which world/socket (all of which may be red, green,
yellow, aqua) gets to determine the taskbar icon's
color, but it does flash.
Unfortunately, tk support for colored taskbar icons is
a bit new. So in the case that the attempt to set the
taskbar icon to a flashing green circle fails, due to
an older version of tk (pre 8.4.9 I think? o.O), my
patch falls back to the old black and white taskbar
icon support, which works for all versions of tk that I
know of. Since the green circle is well, green, not
black and white, I took the liberty of making a series
of b/w XBM images to animate the task bar icon, lava
lamp style.
So... that's it. A new directory of *.xbm files.
Slight mods to sockets.tcl (3 new lines). A new source
file (taskicon.tcl) and a line in Makefile, to install
the *.xbm files. (xbm = X B/w bitMap -_-)
