Hello everybody :) I have just translated the "make" file, and I found my translation =20 had a remaining error due to this FSF string: ____ #:main.c:2941 #,c-format msgid "" "%sThis is free software; see the source for copying conditions.\n" "%sThere is NO warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A=20= \n" "%sPARTICULAR PURPOSE.\n" ____ Each line starts with a printf-style variable "%s", no doubt for an =20 excellent reason, but if your translation doesn't occupy the same =20 number of lines, msgfmt complains that the variables don't match. My translation only requires two lines. I can imagine other languages =20= also requiring less, or more lines than the original. I've simply created a third, otherwise blank line beginning with "%=20 s", but that's a kludge, and won't look good in display. What should I do? Thankyou, as always, for sharing your experience and ideas. :) from Clytie (vi-VN, Vietnamese free-software translation team / nh=C3=B3m = =20 Vi=E1=BB=87t h=C3=B3a ph=E1=BA=A7n m=E1=BB=81m t=E1=BB=B1 do) Want your OSS translated?
