#882 Tray bar icon missing in KDE/Plasma 5
I have recently upgraded to Kubuntu 15.04 which brings Plasma 5 as the default KDE desktop. Since this upgrade the Tranmission Remote GUI traybar icon does not show anymore. It's probably related to http://blog.martin-graesslin.com/blog/2014/06/where-are-my-systray-icons/.
I think it should work with sni-qt installed.
Unfortunately that does not seem to be the case... I have version 0.2.6-0ubuntu1 of sni-qt installed and no traybar icon is showing.
Maybe your qt-4.8 isn't patched...
At least, I can assure you that I have the tray icon on Plasma5 on my Arch.
Understood. I'll let you know if it starts working once a newer version of Plasma arrives in Kubuntu Updates or Kubuntu 15.10 is released.
If you have the time maybe you can try with the Kubuntu live cd on a USB stick.
