Hello Kai, > Does this piece of Lisp return at all? If it doesn't return, then Sadly, no. Here are the results: *** Welcome to IELM *** Type (describe-mode) for help. I managed to C-g out of the last command after it hung a while. Sometimes in TRAMP, I can quit out of the hung process, but most times I wind up having to kill the emacs forcibly. > you have isolated the problem. Alas, it's not clear to me how to > debug this further. Glad I could isolate it. Wish I could be more help figuring it out. I'm still not completely convinced it is TRAMP per-se, but I don't know where to go from here either. Sigghh. I'm sorry for finding these little cracks. I am known around here for being a good unit tester. :-) If you can think of any way to get more log information out of this, please let me know and I'll help out. Luckily, it's not a show stopper and this version of TRAMP is working GREAT for me everywhere else I have tried. Thanks for all your help in the past and for being so responsive to bug reports.
