Maybe it would be a good idea to test whether tramp-encoding-command and tramp-decoding-command actually work, before trying to use them. But I don't know what would be a good strategy for doing this? If the decoding command is DECODE, then it's called like this: DECODE > foo <<'EOF' ... EOF Here, foo is a file on the remote host. If the encoding command is ENCODE, it's called like this: ENCODE < foo Again, foo is a file on the remote host. Suggestions? kai -- GNU/Linux provides a nice `poweroff' command, but where is `poweron'? |
