However, now I have another problem which isn't directly tramp-related, but since all of you guys have it working, you probably know the answer: I have my Tramp-remote-shell set to "/opt/bin/bash", and I can't seem to get the path set right. Using "printenv" as my compile command, I've explored which environment variables are set. Strangely enough, it seems like all my variables from my .cshrc file (I normally use tcsh) are defined, except PATH which is set to PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/ccs/bin it does not seem like my .bashrc has been run, because it changes the path. In fact, this path is not set even if I log in using bash. I have no idea where it comes from So, my questions are: 1. Why does bash execute my .cshrc? 2. How can I set the path, when neither .bashrc or .bash_profile seems to be executed? I would much appreciate any hints as to what's going on here.
