Seiji, Yeah, I saw the same thing when I was trying to get it to work. I forced it to load and saw the status check fail in the debugger. I think I tried working around issue at the time by ignoring the status but something failed downstream and I couldn't use the iTPM even though the driver loaded and ready. Did you actually try sending it work to do - you may find it still doesn't work? Anyway it was a while ago so I don't remember all the details. I have take a look the detail. and It seems there are two problems. - iTPM on GM45 does not supports PNP - It return wrong TIS status??? Here is Quick-and-dirty fix: 1) modify status check of tpm_tis_send() function. e.g. - if ((status & TPM_STS_DATA_EXPECT) == 0) { + if ((status & TPM_STS_VALID) == 0) { and rebuild the tpm_tis driver 2) Force device probe rather than using ACPI entry /sbin/modprobe tpm_tis force=1 if it returns error, try again. then you can access the iTPM on GM45 from Linux. regards, Seiji ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ tboot-devel mailing list tbo...@li... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/tboot-devel |
