We recently got a system with the Intel D945GTPLKR motherboard in order to do some research into trusted platforms. I think this board uses the STMicroelectronics ST19WP18 TPM, which isn't supported by the current tpm device driver. The ST18WP18 documentation says that this chip "has been specially designed in line with the TCG PC Client Specific TPM Implentation Specification (TIS) referring to Intel's LPC Specification revision 1.0." Based on that, I'm thinking this shouldn't be too monumental an undertaking to code up support for this chip. Has anyone looked into this? We can start trying to code some things, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel either, if there are others that are working on this. -- Steve Tate Director, Center for Information and Computer Security Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering University of North Texas |
