#3 Time spent in zones

I would like to use ToxTrac to determine the time spent in each zone of a given arena but I cannot figure out how to view the statistics for this matter. In the versions section, there are notes decribing that time spent in each zone should be calculated automatically but i cannot view them/ find where they are stored. I select an arena, then define the zones but when I run the file and save the statistics, it does not download anything about the zones.

Please let me know if there is a way to solve this issue.

create zones
export statics
open the sheet associated with the arena whose zone you want to target
scroll left
you will find something like this(image shown)

Hello, I have another question regarding the zones. I have just installed the 2025 1.1 ToxTrac version and in area definition>zone management I cannot find the Zone type menu (see attachment) to define the zones within the arena. I am trying to use the software for open field tracking with mice. Any suggestions? Thank you for your help!

Hi, sorry for the delay, we have been quite busy with the new release. The Zone of Interest feature has been expanded and hopefully made more clear in the new version, and we have just fixed a bug there.. Let me know if you have been able to try it, and if you need more assistance.

You should be able to now see not just how much time the animal spends in a zone, but also when enters or exits one, and even when a line you draw in the arena is crossed.
