The MSI project on SoruceForge seems to end at v1.6, what we really need though is command-line switches for the installer so we can roll this out across the enterprise.
The usual InnoSetup silent switches (/verysilent /norestart /sp-) do not make TortoiseCVS install silently on Windows Vista. It still displays an annoying dialog box which has to be confirmed. This box shows that TortoiseCVS is not officially supporting Windows Vista even if I thought it is supporting it since quite a while (even officially).
So this checks prevents automatic installation and roll-out in corporate environments. However a Windows Installer package (.msi) would be nice for Group Policy roll-out but there are other ways (like WPKG) which perfectly work with Inno Installer. But it works only if the installation is really silent and does not pop up any dialog boxes.
