It would be great if someone could right click on a folder
and get a list of all changed files with an icon
representing the state. It would be very similar to the
commit dialog. The purpose is so that the commit dialog
doesn't have to be opened any time someone wants to
view all changed files in a folder.

    I agree with this!
This would prevent showing a somewhat sensible dialog that
allows you to inadvertently commit your files even though you
just wanted to quickly see your modifications.

Actually, just have all the file in the commit dialog uncecked
by default, and make commit button less accessible and with
    confirmation (configurable)

This is probably to solve a similar problem to 1083149.

I agree a way of viewing modified, added, removed and non
CVS files in a single dialogue is needed. Along with the
ability to then perform multiple commits on single files or
groupes of files (removing those files from the list after each
commit would also be a bonus)
