When I open my cygwin root folder in explorer,
explorer.exe crashes and restarts. the following report
was generated by a combination of MS Exception
Monitor and WinDbg, hope it helps!

    Just to clarify:

    Do you mean you simply browse into the c:\cygwin
    folder, and it always crashes? Does it ever crash in any other folder? Have
    you tried closing any other programs that may be running?
