Andre, if you want to exclude snmp-defs.xml (which is a quite strange desire), you'd have to redefine everything that is defined there :) The SNMP collector requires all the parameters that are defined in snmp-defs, and it also defines parameter properties, like "expandable", which controls the expansion of %percent% and $dollar expressions. cheers, stan ----- Original Message ---- From: André Marascalchi Zenun <and...@gm...> To: tor...@li... Sent: Wednesday, March 12, 2008 10:52:29 PM Subject: [torrus-users] Unable to send variable without snmp-defs.xml Hello all! Well I'm playing here with torrus to build some templates for my equipments and after I have done with all I begin my tests! My surprise was that I was unable to send variables to the templates from my leafs! Like this: <subtree name="custom_snmp"> <apply-template name="custom_snmp_template"/> <param name="equipment_oid" value="6"/> <param name="rrd-cf" value="AVERAGE" /> </subtree> For example, this works fine when I have included the snmp-defs.xml but when I doesn't I have this on my logs: [12-Mar-2008 15:44:25 ] 5934.0 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.%equipment_oid% [12-Mar-2008 15:44:25 ] 5934.0 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.%equipment_oid% Which parameter should I include in my templates for this to work? I'm using the version 1.0.6 compiled from source!
