#7 How to create a track with trackgen ??

So I created a circuit with trackeditor

However I can't find a nice guide on how to create a track with trackgen.

I found this commend

trackgen -c category -n name

but I can not make seance of it were should I put my input file and what file should it be ????? and what file and where will it generate. sure I will cd into a directory were the trackgen but will it generate the file there ??? Please note I am using Windows 8.

Visit www.torcs.org, there is a link to a tutorial for download. trackgen makes certain assumptions about paths, so the track xml must be in the "installation location", have a look at the installed tracks.

Thank you for the reply, I managed to create the track with ubuntu but
on windows I could not do it maybe, if I had torcs installed in Windows
drive it would work but on separate partition it just did not wanted to
do anything
