[Torcs-users] torcs compilation problem

I have had TORCS running before, which I installed with apt-get. I wanted to 
make a robot, so I uninstalled the deb and am now compiling from source (as 
per Berniw's tutorial). It says there is a problem with libX11, but I do have 
it installed and libX11.so is available.
./configure said:
checking for XOpenDisplay in -lX11... no
configure: error: Can't find libX11. Please check config.log and if you can't 
solve the problem send the file to tor...@li... with the 
subject "torcs compilation problem"
