According to the information on the Fedora website, it seems to use gcc 4.1.0. There seems to be a compile issue with this compiler (there also is a bug of it in the torcs bug system). The attached patch can resolve this issue (at least it let torcs compile on my system). Of course, this is just a guess of what the problem might be without seeing the error message.
