I just attach another answer I also sent to someone working at Dell :). -------------------------- I have looked in to this now, and found no problems with it. However a few things to think about is that you need to have a font that supports chinese characters selected for the worksheet editor. You set this font by going into the Edit|Options menu. Then under the tab called "Editor Settings" you have three buttons called "Choose" which sets the different fonts. The first one is used for simple text. The second one is used for SQL (This is the one you are aiming for). And finally the last one is the font used in the results. You probably want all three to support chinese characters. Lastly, after you have set this option you need to reopen the worksheet window to make it use the new settings. To be absolutely sure you probably want to restart the entire application. Let me know if this solves the problem for you. The system I tried this on was a Windows 2000 and Office 2000 (For the Excel part) and TOra 1.3.7. /Mauritz Underscore AB Rajesh_Sriramdas@Dell.com wrote: > hello, > I've downloaded the TORA tool and it works great. > The reason i downloaded this is to evaluate if i can use it with UTF >8.and I can. > But the problem is inthe editor i cannot see any of my kanji or >chineese chars or for that matter any graphical char. > I would like to know what are the settings that need to be done on >my end so that i can Insert the Kanji chars. > thanks > -Rajesh > >Rajesh Sriramdas > HR Direct Team, I/T HR Systems > Raj...@de... > Phone : 512-723-7445 > > > > > >------------------------------------------------------- >This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek >Welcome to geek heaven. >http://thinkgeek.com/sf >_______________________________________________ >Tora-develop mailing list >Tor...@li... >https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/tora-develop > > |
