Surprise! A new message on the togl mailing list!
I'm starting work on Togl 1.7/2.0. The first things added were Mac OS
X support and the various patches that were submitted. The stereo
code has been changed to support quad-buffered stereo by default. And
a GNUmakefile has been added that compiles on Mac OS X, IRIX, and
Tru64. I'll be testing Windows later this week (it has successfully
compiled there before).
The above changes are all in the CVS version.
For a 2.0 version of togl, I hope to add multisample option support
(possible with CVS version if you provide the -pixelformat), TEA
compliation, and update the documentation. And if anything needs to
be done for Tcl/Tk 8.5, that would be good time to get that in too.
Please make
suggestions, I won't promise to do them, but I'll see what I can do.
I'm especially interested in various bug fixes that people have made
to their own version of togl (I believe there is a sharelist patch out
in the wild).
At my work we use togl on Windows, OS X, IRIX, Tru64 and Linux. I
will be migrating our application to using the CVS version of togl so
it will be tested as part of our release cycle. Nevertheless, you
should still test it and send in bug reports. I an willing to look at
Tcl- or Python-based bugs -- of course, short scripts that reproduce
the bug will get fixed quicker.
Happy Holidays,
Greg Couch
