Autopackage of TMSNC
Status: Beta

Hi,
I've created an Autopackage <http://autopackage.org> of
TMSNC. Autopackage is a multi-distribution packaging
framework that lets you build install-anywhere, easy to
use Linux binary packages.
You can try it at
http://www.wildgardenseed.com/Taj/autopackage/tmsnc/tmsnc-0.2.2.x86.package
I am also attaching the specfile used to create this
package.
Are you interested in maintaining this binary? If not,
I would be willing to maintain it, however I would
encourage you to maintain it--as autopackages are
susposed to be maintained by the developers of the server.
Also, feel free to post this binary in the downloads
section, as well as add it to the download page on the
website.
Thanks!

Great! I'll upload it right away.
However, I cannot be the maintainer of this binary since I
only own non-x86 computers. I'd be happy if you could make a
new package whenever a new release is made (which isn't too
often). Otherwise I guess I could try to maintain it from a
x86 shell account.
Thanks for helping out!

Forgot to say that gpm is not yet a dependency of tmsnc.

OK, I can maintain it. Can you add me as a "Package
Maintainer" or whatever they're called to this project? That
way whenever a new release comes out of tmsnc I can quickly
make an Autopackage.
Thanks for the info about gpm. Right now I can't figure out
why apbuild (the autopackage gcc wrapper) is linking against
gpm--it being a bogus dependency. When I figure it out, I'll
reupload a fixed version.
Also, do you think that you can create a link on the
downloads page to the website of the Autopackage project? I
was thinking something like this:
Autopackage: [link]tmsnc-0.2.2.x86.package [link to
http://autopackage.org/docs/howto-install/\](How to install).
Or some variation thereof--you choose :).
Also, can you add the specfile attached to this ticket to
SVN in tmsnc/autopackage/default.apspec.in? Also, I modified
configure.in to create a default.apspec file with the proper
version (used the @VERSION@ macro inside default.apspec.in).
Just change the AC_OUTLINE to:
AC_OUTPUT(Makefile doc/Makefile src/Makefile po/Makefile.in
autopackage/default.apspec)
If you have any questions about this, then please let me
know. :)
Thanks!
