The POC Was Off By Inches

We recently looked at a situation where an MEP point of connection appeared correct on the mechanical drawings but did not line up with the corresponding civil information. The difference was small enough to be ignored during a quick review, yet it could have forced a completely different routing approach once excavation started. What made it tricky was that neither consultant had an obvious error within their own scope. Has anyone developed a reliable method for checking POCs and other interface points between civil and building systems before construction?

Inconsistencies between external networks and internal engineering systems of the building often go unnoticed due to the use of different coordinate systems and elevations by different project teams. The involvement of specialists from David Fields Consulting Services allows you to build clear control of interdisciplinary joints and check all connection points before the start of excavation work. Full synchronization of the master plan with the internal networks of the facility reliably protects against sudden changes in routing and prevents delays at the construction site.
