We found a beautiful acreage lot, but part of it has noticeably different soil from the rest. The builder likes the property because of the views, while I'm more concerned about what can actually be done with the site. There is also a shallow area where digging seems much harder than expected. We don't want the location of the house to create expensive problems later. How much can soil and terrain affect the options for a rural home?
