There is no simple way to do so. It would be much easier to try to find a
way to stop your mud from putting line breaks into things, and instead let
tf do wordwrapping where it wants to. For example, one of the muds I'm on
has a 'say' program that linewraps everyone's output, but there are
preferences to change the output for different people, so I have my prefs
set to *not* linewrap anyone else's say output. That way I can trigger on
what they say, properly.
