If I use tf with visual mode on, I can't see the echo of what I
previously typed. However when visual mode is off, I can see the echo of
what I previously typed.
All well and good so far... however.. if I want to have visual mode off
and /not/ see the echo of what I previously typed, how can I do that? I
would be happy to also not be able to what I am currently typing - don't
much mind.
Can anyone help? Many thanks

Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave
of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with a cat it
would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.
