[TF] gag curiosities

I have some gag definitions that don't seem to work.. can anyone suggest
ideas?

/def -ag -t"DB: A tremor shakes the house down to its very foundation"
/def -ag -t"DB: The house has stopped quaking!"
/def -ag -t"You pemit \"\" to Azrael."
/gag -wHaven You pemit "" to Azrael.
/def -ag -t"Not enough money to queue command."

None of these are gagging the strings in quotes. Although /sometimes/ it
appears that the second gag definition works.. but doesn't work every
time. Making me really really puzzled. As you can see tried /gag and
/def -ag all to no avail? What am I doing wrong?
