I just started using TinyCAD 2.60.01 for a small hobby instrumentation amplifier project. TinyCAD is a pleasure to work with and it makes beautiful schematics.
I noticed a couple of things with the command "Generate Symbol References"
When it is setup as "Add References", "All References" and "Default start value":
---In one heterogeneous part (different outlines per part), the symbols are swapped during the part numbering. In my design 'OPA2196' U4 (but not R1/R2) the A and B symbols are swapped during numbering.
---In one homogeneous part (same outline for all symbols), the symbols are swapped during the part numbering. In my design '2xR 2K/2K' R6 (but not R4 and R5) the A and B symbols are swapped during numbering.
---In one heterogeneous part, the symbols are given two different numbers. In my design '2xR 1K/2K' R1/R2 the A and B symbols are given two different numbers R1A and R2B during numbering.
The issue is easily be solved by numbering the 3 parts by hand and then run the automatic numbering afterwards.
When it is setup as "Remove References", "All References" and "Default start value":
-Almost all part symbols, both heterogeneous and homogeneous, are reset to A. In my design U4, R4, R5 and R6 are set to A. R1/R2 are handled correctly and only the numbers are changed to ?.
I have added the 5 files for documentation:
Great program
Thanks

Try the latest version, 2.80.08, build #631. It should be at
http://tinycad.sourceforgenet/ or
http://sourceforge.net/projects/tinycad/files/latest/download
I think many of these bugs have been fixed since that version was released.

Hej Alan
Many thanks for the fast responce. I have now updated my TinyCAD to version 2.80.08, by using the link above.
I am sorry to say, that TinyCAD responded in the same way as described above. The numbers was a little different, but swapping, two numbers for one part and resetting to A are the same.
Thanks again
Jan
